Wanna Get Lucky?

My beloved blog buddies, I apologize for my absence over the last couple of days. I have overloaded myself with work for this week and next, so I have briefly disconnected from my blogging duties. I know I just got back from my vacation, but I'm already feeling burnt out all over again. And this Kickstarter situation is not making my life any easier (Wanna take a huge load off my shoulders? But I do have some splendid news! Lucky Charming has been given not one, but TWO performance opportunities this month that you should definitely check out!

First, on June 13th, Lucky will be performing in Burlesque for EveryBody at Goodbye Blue Monday alongside Afrotitty, Big A, Fancy Feast, Holly Amory, Iris Explosion, Jennyfer AnistOn, JZ Bich, Miss China Doll, the cast of "My Wife's Ass", Sincerely Yours, and Tangerine Jones, and his Boylesk 101 classmate Rique Shaw! Burlesque for EveryBody is a DIY, body-positive burlesque and cabaret event, featuring bodies of every shape, size, and color. Each event will benefit a different organization, working to educate, empower, and/or create safer spaces for fat folks, people of color, and the trans* community. $10 suggested donation. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds. All proceeds from June's event will benefit NOLOSE! (nolose.org) Showtime is 8:00.

Then, the very next night, my graduating class of Boylesk 101 will be putting on their first show as a troupe at The Stonewall Inn! Lucky Charming, Rique Shaw, Matt Knife, Teddy Turnaround, and Dick Velour will be you a ferocious show full of fresh-faced boylesque that you do NOT want to miss! More delicious details are yet to come, but you're going to want to mark your calendars now. Doors open at 9:00, show starts at 9:30. $10 cover charge, 2 drink minimum, yummy drink specials TBA!
