One of my favorite pornographic resources are live cam shows. Something about knowing that person is performing live in that very moment is extremely arousing to me. Of course, I'm not a very good customer, since I don't usually pay for anything, but if you're having a lucky night, you may find a couple of models who aren't very strict about what's public and what's private. Cam4 is even better, because you don't have to pay to watch. You just have to hope that someone else does. (Don't hate me, adult performers! In my defense, I actually did a short stint as a cam model myself, so I feel your pain.)
Well, a few nights ago I was cruising around on Cam4 and found a profile that looked enticing, and thus I clicked. The view was delicious, but I had hardly enjoyed it for a few seconds before I noticed this message at the top of the screen: "Skype me but only if you're hot." But it wasn't his dismissal of people that did not fit his subjective definition of 'hot' that disturbed me, nor his lack of comma use. He had included his Skype handle below. It was his full name. And I knew him.
I could only see the lower half of his face, but I knew it was him for sure. It was a guy I had waited in line with at the cattle call for "Hair" at the Public Theater a couple of years ago, whom I did not particularly care for. He sparked even more actor vengeance in me later on by getting cast in a show that I desperately wanted a part in. It may sound like juvenile rage, but dammit, I was pissed. And here he is now, baring his full name right next to his asshole where all the world can see. Not wise, my friend. I'm not going to lie, it was a beautiful sight to behold, but a very bad decision to make.
I thought this goes without saying, but apparently it doesn't: If you are ever going to flaunt your goodies on the internet, do it under a fake name. I don't think any sort of safe, consensual sex work is something to be ashamed of, but there are plenty of others out there who do. If you're in a high-profile industry like the theater, you really shouldn't take any chances. If I were a more malicious person, I could have easily screencapped that shit and gotten him in some serious trouble. I respect and understand everyone's desire for exhibitionism, and even the desire to make a little money in the process, but you're gonna do it...god damn it, protect your identity!
