Clap Your Hands If You're Working Too Hard

Some of you may feel like you've been seeing less of me lately. This is because you are, and for that I apologize. Sadly, though, I don't see a remedy approaching in the near future.

A few weeks ago I realized I was feeling overworked, which was ridiculous, because I wasn't working nearly as many hours as my bank account would like. Where was all my energy going? Oh yeah... HERE.

And I say that without the slightest amount of bitterness in my voice. With the exception of one tragic four-month period, I have have made this blog a daily commitment for the last three-and-a-half years (with an occasional day off, of course.) In short, I've treated it like a second job. One that pays very minimally. A self-imposed internship if you will. I regret absolutely nothing, not even for a second. But now that a have a Fringe Festival in the picture, I'm thinking that it's time for me to redistribute my priorities a bit, and dedicate more time to the place that writes my paycheck.

I certainly will still be trying to write every day, so don't think I'm going anywhere or anything, but I may be less successful than usual in forcing my brain to construct solid arguments and witty banters. This week is going to be especially vicious. With my boylesk debut on Sunday, there will be a lot of rehearsing going on later this week. But I'm hoping I'll be able to crank out a couple of long overdue toy reviews for you guys before the week is out.

As always, I appreciate your love, support, and feedback. At a time like this, it would be especially helpful for you all to share what you want to read/hear/see, so that my brain doesn't dry up too completely!

In the meantime, let's listen to my life's current soundtrack.

  1. I always enjoy what you write about, and handling your priorities wisely is the right thing to do. I always check in every day, regardless. Best of luck in your upcoming endeavors.
